Designing for a Cause ... ♥

In 1989, Ursula Blake had a vision to begin a company that specialized in the building of communities "inside to out". With specific interest in the behavioral health sciences, Ms. Blake formed Quadri Technology where she provides family counseling, substance abuse counseling, juvenile rehabilitation as well as work force training and diagnostic assessments. 

In an effort to better promote her business, Ms. Blake sought out Brand Design Love to create a customized hip,contemporary brand identity set. She requested a logo, business cards (general and CEO), website and more. Take a peak at portions of the identity set.

Words ... aren't they just amazing? Whether receiving a spirited "good morning" from a neighbor or opening a text message that reads " i miss your face" ( yes i get those) everyone appreciates receiving a good word.

The creators of Wholeheartedly Card Company  understand this. Putting their favorite words on paper Wholeheartedly Card Company creates a variety of chic, spunky, simple, edgy greeting cards meant to spread smile across the United States. 

To better promote themselves, Wholeheartedly sought a brand identity system that would appeal to a contemporary, vintage audience. Here is what I've designed

Inspired to Design

Inspiration ... ♥

When speaking with an admirer of my design portfolio, I was posed the questions , "where does my inspiration come from"?  "Everywhere", I responded.

When pondering a strategy, theme or palette for a project, I look to my experiences and interest for inspiration. Whether it's whipping up a batch of chocolate chip cookies, going for a jog around my suburban neighborhood, or flipping the pages of fashion, home decor, or architecture magazines, my inspiration comes from EVERYWHERE .

Words ♥

Simple. Profound. Powerful.

Since my youth, I’ve had a profound interest in the majesty of words . Enthralled by phrasing and sentence structure, I marveled at how the simplest of words grouped together could evoke such power. For instance, how a lip gloss named Regal Rouge could make me feel like a princess. Or , how a campaign with the slogan ‘Yes We Can’ could empower me to be the change I wished to see in my community.

Whether graphically sketched across a magazine ad or flowing from the mouth of a historical, political figure, words play a significant role in our society evoking emotion, meaning and understanding.
